Honestly, I don’t know how I packed as much as I did into May, but here we are. It was a full month in the best possible way – and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Brandon Lake in Charleston
Started the month with a weekend in Charleston – shopping, great food, and a Brandon Lake concert that did not disappoint. It was raining, but honestly, nobody cared. That’s how you know the music was good. Charleston always delivers, and this trip was no exception.
A Little Pre-Wedding Pampering
With my son’s wedding on the horizon, I decided that now’s the time to book those appointments I’ve been wanting to do for myself. I booked an eyebrow lamination and an eyelash lift at Brows by Vanessa Tran, and if you’ve never treated yourself to either of these things, please do. You can check out on of my latest reels where you get the full appointment breakdown – she was absolutely the best and I left ready for the big day!
My Son’s Wedding
This was obviously the highlight of the month, and really just one of those weekends that felt like everything went exactly the way it was supposed to. We kept it right here in Ocean Isle Beach, which made it extra special – and I mean, this place is gorgeous who wouldn’t want to get married here?
Kool Karts Rentals kept everyone moving around the island without any stress, which was such a good call. And Concrete Chicks made these incredible custom signs of the bride and groom for the rehearsal dinner – they were definitely a hit amongst the guests.
It was a really beautiful weekend surrounded by friends and family!
Charlotte for a Sweet Engagement Party
We wrapped up the month by heading to Charlotte to celebrate my niece’s engagement – apparently May decided to bless our family with ALL the milestone moments at once, and honestly I love it.
What’s to come in June?
Clearly, this was a jam-packed month (we are all quite tired, but for the best reasons)! Next month, we plan to take it slow and soak in the sunshine in my household – of course, I say this now, but who knows what fun adventures will pop up!
