What’s Happening Around Brunswick County This May & June

Summer is officially making its entrance on the Brunswick Islands — and the calendar is filling up fast. Here are a few events worth putting on your radar:

Holden Beach Summer Concert Series Kick things off with the Special Occasion Band at Bridgeview Park in Holden Beach on May 24th from 6:30–8:00 PM. There’s nothing quite like live music on the water as the sun goes down — bring a chair, bring a cooler, and settle in.

Southport Summer Concert Series Kickoff Head over to Franklin Square Park in Southport on May 28th from 6:00–8:00 PM for the kickoff of their beloved summer concert series. Southport in the evenings is always a good idea, and this is one of those events that just feels like summer.

OIB Movies in the Park Every Wednesday at dusk, Town Center Park in Ocean Isle Beach turns into an outdoor movie night. It’s laid-back, it’s free, and it’s the perfect low-key evening with the family. Check the Town of OIB’s page for the current film lineup.

Oak Island Farmers Market Starting June 1st, Middleton Park on Oak Island hosts a farmers market every Monday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Fresh produce, local vendors, a slow morning — it’s a great way to start the week.
